JAN 27 – 29
Nebrodi and the black pig feast in Longi

A weekend among the pristine forests of the Nebrodi mounts. Trails that wind through ancient beech trees, towering waterfalls, breathtaking scenery. And yet medieval villages and especially the "mythical" feast of Nebrodi black pig in Longi!

FEB 25 - 26 (Carnival)
Novara di Sicilia, and Maiorchino cheese festival

In the little known but beautiful Novara di Sicilia, already in the category of most beautiful villages in Italy, it is held annually the tournament of "Maiorchino" that consists in rolling this typical (and delicious!) cheese on a path winds along the streets of the country. During the festival we will taste all the typical delights of the place and enrich everything with hiking and scenic walks.

APR 15 - 17 APRILE (Easter)
Bays and headlands of Trapani coast

The most charming coastal scenery of Sicily to admire walking along the paths of the headlands overlooking the sea. From Erice to Mount Cofano, from Zingaro natural reserve to Cornino gulf.

APR 22 – 25
Cave, coasts and Baroque villages of south-eastern Sicily

We will make great tours between the rock tombs of Pantalica, admire the charming landscapes of Cavagrande, we will travel in the time between the Greek ruins of Akrai, we let be surprised by the stunning Baroque pearls, we observe flocks of pink flamingos in park Vendicari and more . Three days full of experience, fun, beautiful views and excellent food.

Alicudi and Filicudi: the Aeolian more "distant", the most unknown and therefore more fascinating

Away from the crowds and noise of the city. A corner of Sicily, where time stands still, where human relations are authentic and the views are so beautiful it takes your breath away.

Etna lava mountains and endless forests

A weekend among the stunning scenery of the largest and most active volcano in Europe. We will walk among the endless pine forests in which creep remains of the raging magma flows, caves, lava hills. The world's unique landscapes where the scream of the earth becomes rock.

Food & Wine Bike Weekend Aeolian

For all lovers of good food and wine who want to live the Aeolian Islands in a different way: by pedaling! Exploring Lipari and Salina with breathtaking views, excellent food and wine and a bit of healthy exercise: nothing is missing to enjoy these beautiful islands!

MAY 20 - 21
Palazzo Adriano and transhumance

After the hike in Cozzo Fucile, the most striking peak of the Sicani Mountains Park, the trekking become urban in the narrow streets of Palazzo Adriano, the country set of Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, the movie that made him famous the child Totò Cascio that we'll meet in his farm.
The big attraction of the weekend is the transhumance, a unique opportunity to stay in close contact with the shepherds and their flock, between stories and lots of fun until you reach the farm where we will taste cheese, ricotta, prepared as it once and where we will live the celebrations of transhumance as protagonists.

JUN 02 - 04
In the heart of the Egadi islands: Levanzo and Favignana

The two pearls of the Tyrrhenian Sea in this short and intense journey that will lead us to Cala Rossa, between the trails of Mount Santa Caterina, between the Faraglioni of Levanzo, along the rocky coast in which opens Cala Minnola till the rock paintings in the Genovese cave. And above all, the serenity that reigns in small islands not yet invaded by the summer tourism.

Volcanoes by Night: Vulcano and Stromboli

A weekend of sea, sun and night hiking to explore the Aeolian volcanoes, accompanied by the light of the moon and stars.

South Sicily forgotten coasts between Licata and Palma di Montechiaro

A weekend to discover a still little known and unique stretch of Sicilian coast, between Licata, Palma di Montechiaro and Agrigento.
Beaches and secludeds coves, the severe Montechiaro Castle overlooking the sea, the paradise Kolymbethra and classic places in Sicilian nature, such as the Scala dei Turchi, to see with different eyes: on board of a sailboat.

SEP 15 - 17
Cycling in Trapani province

Be enchanted at sunset on Saline, taste the Marsala wine, breathe the air of the medieval village of Erice, taste the typical almond sweets, enjoy the views of the coast of Cornino.
Pedaling, all these wonders take on a different flavor that tastes like freedom!

The Madonie Mountains: Salt and River Trail

In Petralia a salt mine becomes art! The Museum of Contemporary Art "Sotto Sale" will intrigue us with particular sculptures of rock salt and the explanation of the salt mining cycle. Gangi will enchant us with charming little streets of the village and tasty dairy products Slow Food. To complete the Madonie experience an adventurous River Trail on the river Pollina

OCT 14 - 15
Sicani Flavors and Knowledges

In Sant'Angelo Muxaro, a small and ancient village in Agrigento province, everything runs slow.
It's a place to live a unique experience, a place for a few: only for travelers looking for emotions!
The millennial and fascinating history, the important archaeological heritage, pristine and fascinating nature are only the backdrop to the real attraction of the place: the human relationships and the great heart of the people.
A real treat is the encounter with an extraordinary character: Aldo, The Shaman of Sicani Mounts, who will lead us to the discovery of his world, a paradise of plants of all kinds to which he speaks.

NOV 18 - 19
Burgio and the shepherd of the clouds

A full immersion in the Sicani mountains, visiting the town of Burgio, the bell foundry, the only existing in southern Italy, the Museum of the Mummies and the ceramic craft workshops culminating in a dinner with genuine products at Km 0.
After an invigorating trek into dense forest of oaks and conifers of Monte Cammarata, the highest in the Sicani Park, we will reach the farm by an histrionic character who has achieved the singular Andromeda Theatre, a place considered "alive" by the artist, that changes over time, and that loads of energy between the silence of nature and the mystique of the place.

DEC 08- 10
Forests and villages between the Nebrodi and Peloritani mounts

The "Immaculate" weekend dedicated to excursions among the wildest mountains of Sicily, where Mount Etna, Nebrodi and Peloritani border. We will walk among the "patriarchs" of Malabotta forest, among the megaliths of "Argimusco" and in the medieval villages of Montalbano Elicona and Tripi on a journey dedicated to nature and good food.



Magna Via Francigena Food & Wine Tour - Departures 2017

The Food & Wine Tour along the Magna Via Francigena has been designed for those who, while not being walkers or pilgrims, want to discover a beautiful territory, a Sicily still unknown, its peoples, its products of excellence, its traditions and breathtaking views always different. During the tour that will made with a minibus or minivan, in order not to miss the opportunity to live the experience, we have maintained the opportunity to walk the most beautiful trails of the camino: easy walks, duration max 2 hours, will make you discover the territory from another point of view.

Day 1
Arrival day in Palermo and reaching the hotel on your own (possibility to request a private transfer, optional). Free time, dinner on your own and overnight.

Day 2
Meeting in front of Palermo Cathedral and retiring MVF credentials. Departure for walk tour street food in the city center with an expert guide that will make you discover the colorful world of the markets with itinerants tastings of the famous street food of Palermo. At the end of the walk, transfer to Monreale where you will visit the famous Duomo and the Cloister included in the Norman Arabian Roadmap recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Next, you will walk along a part of the Magna Via Francigena route (about 6.5 km) to Santa Cristina Gela famous for its great Cannolo and, finally, relax in Agriturismo, dinner on your own and overnight.

Day 3
After breakfast, transfer to Corleone where, accompanied by locals, you will discover a country that is completely different from what is known by the collective imagination. Light lunch with products based on Sicilian ancient grains, pasta with the typical "siccagno" tomato and local cheeses. After lunch, transfer to Prizzi where you will walk along a short stretch of the Camino to the lake where you will find the minivan for transfer to Prizzi. You will visit the village and following, you will see a breathtaking sunset from a panoramic spot. At the end, dinner in a local restaurant with typical meals, check-in to your accommodation and overnight.

Day 4
After breakfast, transfer to Castronovo di Sicilia. Close to the Monte Carcaci Reserve, you will walk along beautiful part of the Camino. You reach a picnic area where you will find a barbecue lunch. After linch you will arrive to Castronovo to visit the historic center of the village and where you will receive the Truscitedda, the famous local "bundle" containing gastronomic delights used in the past to carry food. Then transfer to a dairy that produces exquisite cheeses by pursuing ancient traditions: you will taste the two particular cheeses of this area: the !Tuma Persa! and the "Fiore Sicano". Following, transfer to the hotel in Cammarata, dinner on your own and overnight.

Day 5
After breakfast you will visit Cammarata and following you will reach Sutera, a delightful village where you will have the lunch on your own (typical products suggested: Mbriulata and Virciddrati). At the end you will pass in Rabato, the ancient neighborhood of Arab origins, characterized by narrow cobbled streets and plaster walls. Following climbing up to San Paolino mount to play the bell at sunset. Back to the village, check-in at your accommodation, dinner and overnight.

Day 6
After breakfast, you will reach a winery in Agrigento surrounding for a walk through the vineyards, visit the cellar and light lunch with local products with paired wine tasting. In the afternoon transfer to Agrigento for a guided visit of the Valley of Temples. At the end transfer to Palermo, check-in at your hotel, dinner on your own and overnight.

Day 7
After breakfast, check-out and according on return flight, free time in Palermo and transfer on your own to the airport (optional private transfer available).
