Day 1:

Arrival at Catania airport and reception with GT Minibus. Transfer to Taormina. Visit he charming little city with its ancient theatre, the garden, the palaces and its narrow streets. Free lunch. Check-in at the hotel in Catania area. In the afternoon visit to an Etna winery and dinner with wine tasting paired with the meals. Return to the hotel and overnight

Day 2:

4x4 Etna and Alcantara Valley full day excursions with pick up at the hotel.  Rustic lunch in an Etna chalet. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight

Day 3:

Transfer to Siracusa, visit to the Archaeologic Park Neapolis with its Greek Theatre and the particular cave named Ear of Dionisio. Light lunch in a typical restaurant.  Visit to Ortigia, historic center of Siracusa and free time. Transfer to the hotel in Ragusa area, dinner and overnight

Day 4:

Transfer to Pantalica for a guided visit to the Natural Reserve with the European biggest necropolis to discover Byzantine cave dwellings and churches. Light lunch in a farm. Transfer  to  Noto for a visit to the city center, Baroque jewel famous for its Cathedral, churches and baroque palaces with their balcony. During the walk, tasting of the typical sweet wine Moscato di Noto with almond pastries. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight

Day 5:

Transfer to Scicli, Baroque pearl Unesco world heritage, between palaces, churches and the fascinating church ruins on the San Matteo hill where you can admire an amazing panorama.  Visit to a farm for olfactory walk through aromatic herbs in a charming greenhouse.  Visit to a farm with oil mill, vertical tasting of 6 monocultivar extra virgin oil including 3 "meditation oils". Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight

Day 6:

Visit to Ragusa Ibla, beautiful ancient baroque quarter, with the 3 bridges that connect it to the top of the city, the Cathedral of St. George, many buildings of great value and Garden Iblean.  Visit to a gastronomic center for demonstration and  realization of Provola (typical cheese), guided tasting Sicilian cheeses with wines and light lunch with typical product.  Trasfer to Modica and visit and the historic center of  the "city of hundred churches" and Unesco world heritage,  including the mother churches of the two patrons “rivals" St. George and St. Peter. Visit to a Modica chocolate laboratory with cold demonstration and tasting of the famous chocolate. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight

Day 7:

Freetime and, according with flights departure time, transfer to Catania airport

Additional day to insert at Day 2:

Transfer to Piazza Armerina  and guided to Villa Romana del Casale with its beautiful mosaics. Lunch in a farm. Transfer to Caltagirone, famous for typical sicilian ceramics and guided visit to the city Unesco world heritage. Tasting of “Cudduredda" typical dessert of the town. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight

Optional Activities: 

- From August to October: grape harvest and walk through the vineyards 

- From October to November: olive harvest and visit to the oil mill

- On August: tomatoes harvest and preparation of tomato sauce

Day 1
Arrival Airport Palermo
Reception with Pullman GT and transfer to Castelvetrano to visit production company Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Transfer in a dairy in Salemi area which produces the Pecorino Siciliano DOP and Vastedda Belice the only Sicilian cheese made of spun paste with sheep's milk.
Return to Palermo, check in at the hotel, free time. Free dinner at the market square of Vucciria with street food: you can taste Pane Panelle and Crocchè, Pani ca Meusa, Babbaluci, Purpu bollito, Stigghiole and all other specialties street food of Palermo. Return to the hotel and Overnight

Day 2
Transfer to Erice, tasting typican sweets with almonds in confectionery shop and visit the village. Along the way, stop in Dattilo for free tasting of the famous Sicilian cannoli with handmade ricotta cheese made.
Light lunch in a restaurant and transfer to Marsala Florio cellars for a guided visit and experiential tasting
Return to Palermo, dinner and overnight

Day 3
Full day city guided tour: typical market (Ballaro or Capo), Cappella Palatina, Cathedral, lunch in a typical restaurant.
In the afternoon San Giovanni degli Eremiti Cappuccini Catacombs or Monreale. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 4
Transfer to Trapani for trip by boat with the fishermen. Return to meet the Chef for a Master Class on the fish caught, the handmade cous cous and following lunch.
In the afternoon visit to a winery in the area of Marsala and, returning, visit the salt pans of Trapani with explanation of salt extraction process. Dinner in a restaurant in the salt pans, back to the Hotel in Palermo overnight

Day 5
Transfer to Catania and city tour with free lunch. Check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon transfer in an Etna winery, visit and dinner with wine tasting. Return to the hotel and overnight

Day 6
Check-out and transfer to Modica, the city of 100 churches and Unesco World heritage, visiting cities and "cold" preparing demonstration on the famous Modica chocolate. Transfer and visit to a farm with production of Buffalo’s mozzarella and lunch. Transfer to Ragusa and visit the delightful town. On the way, stop to an oil mill with production of extra virgin olive oils and vertical guided tasting.
Transfer to the hotel in Ragusa area, dinner and overnight

Day 7
Transfer to Ispica to visit the town and transfer to a company produces the famous caciocavallo DOP. Transfer to Marzamemi small fishing village, visit to a farm and processing of canned fish and cherry tomatoes typical of the area with light lunch with own products including tuna roe, tuna salami.
Visit to Noto with tasting of typical sweet wine Moscato di Noto with almond cookies.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight
Day 8
Transfer to Syracuse to visit the Archaeological Park and Ortigia. Lunch in a restaurant and transfer to Catania airport for return

Day 3
Visit to a farm in Nebrodi Mountains with breeding cattle, black pig Nebrodi, sheep and goats Girgentana. The company produces cheeses, cold cuts and canned vegetables.
Lunch in the farm with their own products and, returning, visit the to a farm with oil production.
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight

Day 4
Transfer to Syracuse and visit the Archaeological Park and Ortigia.Lunch in a rustic trattoria in the historic center.
Transfer in Marzamemi / Pachino area and visit to a producer of vegetables including the famous Pachino tomato

Day 5
Visiting a cheese dairy producing an excellent Caciocavallo Ragusa DOP.
Afterwards, visit and lunch with wine tasting in a cellar with production of Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOC.
Visit to a farm with an oil mill and vertical tasting of extra virgin olive oils
Transfer to Piazza Armerina, check in at the Resort with cellar, dinner and overnight

Day 6
Transfer to Palermo and guided visit to the city and to Monreale.
Check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight

Day 7
Transfer and short visit to Erice, Trapani, visit to the salt and explanation of the process of extraction of salt.
Along the way, stop for free tasting of Sicilian cannoli with ricotta cheese handmade.
Visit to the historic Florio winery, famous for the beauty of the structure and the production of Marsala with experiential tasting and light lunch.

Day 1
Reception at Catania airport in the afternoon, guided city tour and transfer in an Etna winery for visit and dinner with wine tasting. Transfer in Farmhouse / Resort, check in and overnight

Day 2
Transfer to the coast by boat trip with the fishermen.
Return to the Farm / Resort for Cooking Class with the fish caught and lunch with the cooked dishes. Afternoon relax, dinner and overnight.

Day 3
In the morning 4x4 Etna Excursion light lunch with drinks included in a chalet. Return to the Farm / Resort and relax. In the afternoon around departure to Taormina, free visit of the town and the ancient theater. Dinner at local restaurant. Return to the resort and overnight

Day 4
Visit a typical market for shopping. Pass to cellar, guided visit and wine tapping to taste during lunch. Return to the Farm / Resort for Cooking Class on typical Sicilian cuisine and realization of handmade pasta. Lunch with the dishes prepared. Afternoon relax.

Day 5
Visit the delightful medieval village of Randazzo characterized by the castle, churches and various other buildings in lava material. In the afternoon visit to the town of Bronte, known for its gold green: the pistachio. Visit the Nelson castle and a farm with production of pistachio. Return to the Farm / Resort, dinner and overnight

Day 6
Visit to the little known Val d'Agrò and the villages of Savoca and Forza d'Agro. Later visit to a cheese maker with light lunch with typical products.
Return to the Farm / Resort for seasonal activities (harvesting local products such as nuts, citrus fruits, olives, etc.) or preparing and tasting the warm ricotta cheese made by a local dairyman, dinner and overnight.

Day 7
Tasting extra virgin olive oils.
According return flight, transfer to Catania airport.

Day 1:

Arrival at Palermo airport and welcome with coach / minivan
Visit Piazza Marina with spectacular ficus trees, Palazzo Abatellis and Palazzo Mirto. Visit to the Wine Museum with aperitif
Check-in hotel, dinner of typical Sicilian dishes and overnight

Day 2:
Breakfast at hotel

City visit to the Norman Palace and Palatine Chapel, the Cathedral, St. John of the Hermits . Street food  walk tour through the city center and the colorful market of Ballarò with lunch along the trail . Free time and return to hotel,  for dinner and overnight

Day 3:

Transfer to Agrigento and guided visit to amazing  at Valle dei Templi and Kolymbetra garden

Lunch in a typical tavern. Return to Palermo, dinner and overnight

Day 4:
Breakfast at hotel
Transfer to Aspra to visit the small anchovy museum with explanation of the history of the anchovy fishery and anecdotes of fishermen with final tasting.
Transfer to Cefalu to visit the lovely town, free lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Castelbuono for a visit to a farm with production of Manna. Visit the village and the castle with the beautiful chapel decorated by the famous Serpotta stucco. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 5:
Breakfast and check-out
Transfer to Segesta and visit to the temple, the ancient theater and the Acropolis. Along the way, stop for free tasting of typical "cassatelle" with warm ricotta.
Stop at a gastronomic center with a welcome drink, cooking class about two hours on the preparation of typical fish cous-cous (starting from bran), caponata and trapanese bruschetta and, at the end, lunch with the dishes prepared. Transfer to Erice and visit the beautiful medieval town, situated on the top of a mountain overlooking Trapani.
Transfer to Marsala and check in at the hotel, dinner with local products and overnight.

Day 6:
Breakfast at hotel
Transfer to Marsala, visit to a historic cellar with experiential wines tasting.
Following transfer to Salemi and visit to a dairy farm of Vastedda Belice, sheep cheese with spun dough, Slow Food, and rustic lunch.
In the afternoon guided tour of the Stagnone lagoon on a typical boat and visit the fascinating island of Mozia, an ancient Phoenician colony, and circumnavigation of the island to the discovery the remains of the Phoenician city. Sunset dinner and return to the hotel.

Day 7:
Breakfast at hotel and check-out
Guided tour of the Natural Reserve of Trapani salt pans, with explanation of the process of extraction of salt (Slow Food). According with flight departure, transfer to Palermo airport.

 

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES

- Excursion  from August to October: grape harvest and walk through the vineyards and with tractor

- Excursion from October to November:  olive harvest and visit the mill
